We’ve been teased with bits and pieces – newly designed Druid shapeshift models, Thrall looking all fierce, as well as Jaina getting some botox.

Blizzcon 2013 – World of Warcraft Announcements

Usually I sit back of an evening and mull over what I want to write about. Is there something in the gaming world causing a ruckus? Maybe a new piece of hardware, or a developer with a masters in flamenco dancing? Finding the right piece to write about can be daunting. Then, you get days like the Blizzcon weekend, where information is flying at your from all angles at all times.

Steam – Download While You Play

Good news, Steam users (I’m presuming that’s every single one of you) – you can now download your games in the background while you play other games. Huzzah! The minor update also allows you to choose the time of day that Steam charters it’s automatic downloads, so slowing down your online experience is a non-issue.

SimCity DLC – Sponsored by an Insurance Company?

Yes, you did read that headline correctly – Maxis’ city-building behemoth is now loaning itself out to the whim of the Progressive Insurance Group, a system of insurance companies from the US. The downloadable content is free, which is nice, but I can’t help but feel a little odd about downloading it nonetheless.

It does have it’s uses though.
