Following on from the announcement that Civilization VI will be getting a host of new content over the course of the next 12 months, the Mayans are one of the new civilizations being released on May 21st. Led by the feathery Lady Six Sky, the Mayans have a host of unique abilities which will change the way you build your empire.
A matter of days after the release of legend David Bowie’s new album Blackstar, the world has been shocked at the news that he has passed away after an 18 month battle with cancer. It’s one of those surreal historical moments – one of those still frames in your mind that you’ll recall when people ask you where were you when David Bowie died?
Nintendo have released a statement addressing an issue concerning one of their games – Tomodachi Life – in that players are unable to form same-sex relationships with other players. Rather than making plans to change the game, due for release on June 6th, the company have decided not to make alterations, and have asserted that they “never intended to make any form of social commentary with the launch of Tomodachi Life.”
Unfortunately, they must realise that they already have.
Unsurprisingly, a contingent of ex-sports stars on America’s HBO channel have deemed eSports as not a real sport. Arguments go both ways, of course, and the definition between sport and competition is always contentious.
What is a little surprising, from a group of professionals, is the flagrant ignorance apparent throughout the discussion.
