Civilization 6: Who Are The Best Leaders? – Land Domination

Sid Meier’s Civilization VI is an absolute cracker of a game with many ways to emerge the victor – seek and destroy, reach the stars, or be the sole provider of blue jeans on the planet. Any way you go about it, Civilization VI is a game to get lost in, so who wouldn’t want the best chance to win?

This time I’m going to dive in to my top 3 civilizations – in no particular order – for conquering the world by land, and what makes them so adept at doing so.

Call of Duty: Warzone – Fun, Fleshed-out, and Free

A change of pace from high fantasy and adventure, I’ve traded in role-playing games for rocket propulsion grenades over the past week in Call of Duty‘s battle royale experience Warzone.

It’s been great fun getting to grips with it and, best of all, it’s free.

Switching Mains in Shadowlands – Death Knight Class Changes

The original hero class, Death Knights have had a solid expansion in Battle for Azeroth. Having mained my own Death Knight for large swathes of patch 8.2 and 8.3, Unholy and Blood in Mythic+ and raids has proven so enjoyable that I’m now faced with the prospect of not switching my main at all when Shadowlands is released.

Why? Because Death Knights are looking baller.

WoW: Shadowlands – Torghast, Warcraft’s Roguelike Adventure

Each new expansion for World of Warcraft brings with it new activities and gameplay experiences to enjoy, some of them winners and some of them not. Blizzard’s upcoming expansion Shadowlands is building on popular roguelike elements to challenge players with Torghast, Tower of the Damned – an ever-changing prison filled with levels, loot, and undead lackies.

So will it be a winner, or not?

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands – Global Cooldown Changes Not Reverted, Despite Player Feedback

Following a successful expansion in Legion almost four years ago, Blizzard developers surprised players by announcing a tentative change on the then-latest alpha build which would add certain cooldown abilities onto the global cooldown – the 1.5 second base period between casting or using abilities in-game.

With Shadowlands fast approaching towards the end of the year, it seems as though the global cooldown will remain on those same abilities – and that’s a mistake.

Enter the Gungeon – The 10 Best Weapons to Look Out For

Enter the Gungeon is a fantastic rogue-like dungeon crawler with guns, bullets, firearms and weaponry. In the relatively short time it’s been out, plenty of progress has been made throughout the Gungeon as players have unlocked a dizzying plethora of weapons, charmed extra NPCs and fostered a fantastic and helpful Reddit community.

Dungeons & Dragons – Infallible Imbeciles Anonymous – Part #1

Ceaselessly exhuding steam and malcontent, the black Dragonkin’s face is torrid with an unnatural fury and unease at the shackles which bind her wrists in-front of her. Restless, the towering figure of obsidian scales paces, scratching her claws along the cave floor as she does so. The acidic venom which froths from her mouth leaks it’s scalding ferocity into the beast’s very vernacular as she spits her words at the figure unfortunate enough to be shackled beside her.

A Tribute to Starman – Kojima’s Muse

A matter of days after the release of legend David Bowie’s new album Blackstar, the world has been shocked at the news that he has passed away after an 18 month battle with cancer. It’s one of those surreal historical moments – one of those still frames in your mind that you’ll recall when people ask you where were you when David Bowie died?

No Man’s Sky – Colonizing and Combat

If you’ve been following my posts for a while now, you’ll know that I’m quite excited for the release of No Man’s Sky. I even made a terrible Buzzfeed list. I’m behind the eight ball for sure, but the new trailer showcases some more in-depth interstellar exploration and, more interestingly, a peek at the combat.
